After six months of negotiations with Pasikala Nuakulofa of the Kingdom of Tonga, a 40ft container containing 350 bicycles is being shipped by Sofrana Shipping Company and will be arriving in May 2011.

We would like to thank all involved in bringing about the success of this operation. The Tongan Ministry of Health financed the shipping costs.

These bicycles will give Tongan youth and adults the opportunity to own and ride a bicycle and increase physical activity. Bicycle repair workshops will be held in Nukualofa for the people of Tonga to create ongoing sustainability.
